High School Teachers

The teachers that accompany the group on the trip are one of the reasons the program is so successful. They aid the students in understanding scientific concepts that are being taught. Teachers also assist in organizing the students and help to review their journals.  They are the backbone of the program.

Graduate Students

Over the years, graduate students from UNO  have provided mentoring and leadership to the students on a trip.  The disciplines of have ranged from geology to geophysics to meteorology. Besides helping students with scientific concepts, they perform many other services such as helping comfort homesick students, and insuring the safety of the students while on a trip.

Guest Scientists, Naturalists and Guides

As we visit various places on the trip, National Park Rangers, mine geologists, and other professionals with local experience , have joined us to share their enthusiasm and knowledge.
